A unique musical experience in an unique location, accessible to all from the comfort and safety of your homes!

We have selected two of Belgium’s finest acts in the realm of stoner/post music and one of Ghent’s unique, medieval locations for an awesome one-of-a-kind streaming session!

The mandatory closure of historical buildings for the general public is a tragedy, but it also opens unprecedented opportunities. We made use of the occasion to not only reactivate two major players in our Belgian scene, but also a team of professional sound, light and camera operators, the historical building itself, its crew AND you lovers of culture.

THE LOCATION

In celebration of our fourth anniversary and Ascension, No Name Collective will take you on a trip to the dark and ancient underbelly of Ghent: the Crypts of Saint-Petersabbey, one of the oldest buildings and focal points of our city. For over 13 centuries, the abbey has stood strong and NNC was founded in its shadow. Now it is time to descend into the inner layers and the mysteries that await us there!

*** HEMELBESTORMER: one of Belgium’s most elusive acts, even in the underworld of all that is post, sludge, black and doom metal. With a massive wall of sound, both comforting, estranging and terrifying at the same time, and an impressive visual game of light and darkness, Hemelbestormer has agreed to leave the studio and enter the crypts of Ghent with us. After Roadburn, Dunk!festival, Desertfest, ArcTanGent and so many more famous stages, this one will be another sticker!

*** PSYCHONAUT: a proud champion of the Belgian psychedelic/post metal scene, both home and abroad! The Pelagic Records re-issue of their debut album Unfold The God Man has catapulted them to the most-esteemed regions of the genre, reaping praising reviews wherever the music goes. And rightfully so: this mix of heavy groove, psychedelic tunes and esoteric darkness is of a quality few have pulled off. We are very excited to welcome them to the crypts of Ghent!
