NNC w/ Gruut Lawijt Winter Edition Vol. II: A Forest Of Stars, The Fifth Alliance, Aldrig, Matavitatau, …
October 11, 2026Gruut Lawijt Winter Edition is back, and this time one day was not enough! On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December we take over Gruut for TWO days of cozy darkness. Six bands, local and international, in a brewery that is still actively brewing. What more do you want in December?
DAY I: DOOM BLACK (Saturday 05/12)
***THE FIFTH ALLIANCE (NL): return with their fourth album “Stenahoria” and new singer Natalya, darker than ever.
***BRAVE MURDER NIGHT (BE): scene veterans from Kludde, Toorn, Cyclone and Rudenya paying homage to Katatonia’s Brave Murder Day, which turned 30 this year.
***ALDRIG (BE): risen from the ashes of Soul Grip. Black metal, sludge and post-metal in one. We welcome them back after their legendary show at Gentse Feesten in 2024!
DAY II: ATMOSPHERIC BLACK (Sunday 06/12)
***A FOREST OF STARS (UK): this year’s headliner, and with good reason. Twenty years of Victorian black metal. We worked with them before NNC even existed and have been longing for their return ever since.
***MATAVITATAU (BE): you remember these Latin heretics from last edition. They are back to celebrate five years of filthy nineties black metal AND to present their second album “Taeda Inversa”.
***NEMOROUS (UK): atmospheric black metal in the great pagan tradition, sprouted from the ashes of Wodensthrone.
Doors open at 18h00 on both days, first band at 18h30 (may alter a bit, as always).
