NNC: SednA, Splendidula, Räum | Peggy’s Birthday Bash II

Our friend Peggy is celebrating another birthday and is really going all out this year! She has invited no less than THREE bands into Kinky Star, showcasing three sides of her diverse musical palet:

*** SEDNA ***
Sedna is a four pieces black metal project born in 2009 Italy. The sound is a mix of post black, sludge and doom metal with ambient and drone parts that give at the results much more sense of perdition and immersion. From furious blast-beats, passing through cadenced heavy parts, reaching soft and expanded clean parts, the band try to carry emotions and feelings to create music organic and alive.

*** SPLENDIDULA ***
An atmospheric blackened doom formation, active since 2008. Their early oeuvre is marked by a sound of crushing riffs, layered vocals and dense melancholy. After the loss of their friend and bandmate Peter in 2022, grief and emotional struggles were channeled into new music. The upcoming fourth album explores these themes further.

*** RÄUM ***
Räum was founded in 2020 in Liège, born in the turmoil of the pandemic. Their music offers a journey through the hopes, vices, fears, and decline of humanity. With a raw post black metal sound, Räum reveals the emptiness and self-destructive nature of the human soul, embodying a striking duality between greatness and decay. In 2023, the band released their album Cursed by The Crown, followed by Emperor Of The Sun in 2025 – both on prestigious label Les Acteurs De L’Ombre. Through intense and evocative music, RÄUM seeks to portray the inevitable decline and fall of humanity and our civilizations.
